Christmas and early Spring Workshops and Classes
At Hortus Poeticus our ethos is to tread lightly and kindly upon this precious earth and to appreciate all of its treasures. Celebrating all the beauty that seasonal ingredients have to offer while being able to take the time to appreciate them. Amongst the flurry and noise that this time of year brings, our workshops are a perfect moment of pause to take back some time for yourself and indulge in the creativity the natural world provides.
Festive Mantle Piece Workshop
Just in time for the big day, enjoy a wonderfully creative afternoon making your own Hortus Poeticus styled mantle installation. We will coach you through how we use sustainable mechanics to build an abundant and festive focal point to any home this festive season.
January Sowing with the Hortus Poeticus Senior Grower
In this gentle rebalancing morning, we introduce you to our seed sowing methods. Together we will sow seeds of your own to take home as well as give you a selection of plants we have sown and overwintered for you. The two combined should set you up for a bloom filled summer plus the profound pleasure of tending them from seed (or young plant) to bloom.
Love Letter to the Land - Hazel Structures in the Garden
This day will introduce you to the joys of hazel structures in the garden both for their beauty and playfulness and their utility in protecting or supporting your plants.
Time outdoors at this time of year is immensely re-energising and rewarding as daylight lengthens and the song birds find their voice again. We can think of no better way to spend Valentine’s day as a gift of love to yourself and the land, or to another.
